Program empowers women entrepreneurs to accelerate their business
Maputo, May 13th 2019
The Embassy of the Netherlands in Maputo received on May 10th , 2019, the graduation of the 6th edition of the business acceleration program for women entrepreneurs – FEMTECH.
In total, 14 women entrepreneurs graduated who during 3 months had access to an interactive learning experience that enabled them to develop personal skills as well as skills to better manage and develop their business.
“In this training we learned a lot about ourselves, about strength, motivation and our ideals as entrepreneurs,” said Milu Jeremias, one of the entrepreneurs who participated in the 6th edition of FEMTECH.
According to Tatiana Pereira, co-founder of the ideaLab, the company responsible for implementing the program FEMTECH, “all women who go through the program not only grow their business, but also grow personally, and become part of a network of women entrepreneurs – the FEMMIES network, which has 120 women entrepreneurs, and now after the 6th edition of FEMTECH in Maputo there are 14 more entrepreneurs who can work together, do business, exchange ideas and grow.”
The 6th edition of FEMTECH was attended by participants from various sectors of activity, such as construction, health and handicrafts, and was an initiative of the ideaLab with the sponsorship of the Embassy of kingdom of Netherlands in Maputo under the “Aid for Trade Agenda” , in which it promotes sustainable and inclusive growth throughout the world.

FEMTECH is a business acceleration program for women entrepreneurs focused on growing their business.
This program was launched in South Africa, and has already been implemented in Namibia, Tanzania and in Mozambique and Angola by the ideaLab.
